Shi.E.L.D. Services, a leader in the offshore logistics sector for dry bulk materials and technical and crew management of vessels, has won the ‘Bulk Logistics Excellence’ category at the International Bulk Journal Awards 2019 in Hamburg.
Collecting the award Corrado Cuccurullo, CEO of Shi.E.L.D. Services said: “We are delighted to be recognised as the winner of the prestigious IBJ Bulk Logistics Excellence award and would like to thank the eminent panel of industry experts for honouring our company.”
The IBJ Awards ceremony took place at Grand Elysee, Hamburg with leaders from the world of bulk shipping in attendance.
“This award goes to show that although we are one of the smaller companies to be nominated as finalists, the industry has recognised our professionalism and expertise in the highly specialised transhipment services sector,” said Luca Condini, Technical Director.
Although the Shi.E.L.D. Services name is relatively new, the team has decades of experience working in this highly specialised area with Coeclerici.
Shi.E.L.D. Services’ model is to manage every aspect of the offshore logistic chain from design, supervising construction as well as technical management and crew management of operating vessels.
Cuccurullo and his teamwork with producers and importers of raw materials such as mining companies, power stations and factories. “Many of the producers and importers who own the vessels and manage the technical and crewing in-house would benefit from Shi.E.L.D. Services’ experience and know-how to optimize the performances of their assets,” he added.
